Bosch Motorsport M5 ABS for Ultima Sports Cars: development program
909 Motorsport is developing supported Bosch Motorsport M5 ABS hardware for the Ultima platform. This page is an invitation to be part of that program, not a parts list.
The Bosch Motorsport M5 ABS is a professional-level motorsport unit used in racing worldwide, providing ultra-fast processing, highly accurate wheel slip control, and configurable ABS strategies for track use. Eleven selectable calibrations on a 12-position map switch allow the ABS behaviour to be tuned for tyres, surface conditions, and driving style.
Why this platform, and why a program rather than a kit
An Ultima is a component car. There is no factory ABS to replace, no factory sensor mounting to adapt, and no two cars built quite the same way, which is exactly why owners who want ABS have historically had to engineer the whole thing themselves.
The car that started this program is one of those. Its owner built his own wheel speed sensor tone rings and mounts to get a motorsport system working, and has since opened his parts up to us so that a properly engineered, repeatable package can be developed for the platform. That is a generous starting point, and it means the development is grounded in a car that already runs rather than in a drawing.
What we are working towards is supported 909 hardware for the Ultima: sensing that can be specified, ordered and fitted without every owner solving the same problems from scratch, backed by the same Bosch Motorsport calibration support behind our other kits.
Where it’s up to
- Reference car identified and its owner-developed sensing hardware available to us for measurement and development
- Platform support in active development, sensing package first, as it is on every platform
- No production part numbers or pricing released yet
Get involved
If you are building or racing an Ultima and want motorsport ABS on it, get in touch. Development programs move fastest when there are cars to develop against, and owners who join early tend to end up with hardware that suits how they actually use the car.
Tell us what you’re running (chassis, uprights, hubs, brakes, engine management and data) and what the car is used for. We will come back to you with where the program is up to and what a system on your car would involve.

FAQs
Q: Can I buy an Ultima kit today?
A: Not yet. The platform is in development and there is no released package or price. Register your interest and we will keep you informed as it progresses.
Q: What does 909 actually supply on other platforms?
A: Vehicle-specific hardware around the Bosch Motorsport M5, wheel speed sensing, hydraulic unit and cabin mounting, and the integration work that makes the system usable on that car. The Ultima program is working towards the same thing.
Q: I’ve already built my own sensing. Is that a problem?
A: No, it’s useful. The program exists because an owner did exactly that. If you have solved part of it on your own car we would like to see it.
Q: Do you install and commission systems?
A: Yes. We can install and commission in our Newcastle workshop, or supply hardware with our guidance behind your own builder.
Q: Is the system validated for road use?
A: No, Bosch Motorsport ABS is for track usage only.
Q: Can you ship overseas?
A: Yes. 909 vehicle-specific kits ship worldwide. Contact us for freight to your country.
