The Bosch Motorsport MM5.10: five-axis inertia measurement, yaw rate and roll rate plus three-axis acceleration, on a 1 Mbaud CAN output.

- Roll rate and yaw rate: ±163°/s, quantised at 0.005°/s per digit
- X, Y and Z acceleration: ±4.2 g, quantised at 0.0001274 g per digit
- Selectable cut-off frequency (-3 dB): 15 / 30 / 60 Hz
- CAN output at 1 Mbaud (this version) or 500 kbaud; defined IDs 0x174 (yaw rate + Acc Y), 0x178 (roll rate + Acc X), 0x17C (Acc Z)
- 80 x 56 x 21 mm, 35 grams without wire; 7-18 V supply; -20 to 85°C
- Mount with the connector opposite the driving direction, using only the integrated fixing holes; a calibration sheet is supplied with the sensor

How inertia sensing is used
The MM5.10 combines rotational and linear sensing elements in one housing: Coriolis-effect elements measure yaw and roll rate, a micro-machined element measures acceleration in all three axes. That data underpins stability and traction strategies, chassis and aero analysis, and launch work, and it is the sensor Bosch bundles with the MS 6 Drag 2 software package.

MM5.10 or MM7.10?
- MM5.10 (this sensor): five axes: yaw + roll rate, three-axis acceleration
- MM7.10: six axes: adds pitch rate, the axis that matters for wheelie-sensitive launch work and full platform analysis. Available to order; it is also the sensor supplied in current Motorsport ABS M5 kits
