How the MS 6 EVO range works
All four MS 6 EVO models share the same hardware platform:
- 226 x 181 x 44 mm aluminium housing, 1,086 grams, two Bosch connectors (196 pins)
- Dual-core 667 MHz CPU with FPGA; 6-18 V supply
- 2x Ethernet, 3x CAN, 12 ignition outputs
- Port injection for up to 12 cylinders at up to 12,500 rpm
What changes between models is injection capability (port-only vs direct + port) and how much measurement and function content is included versus unlocked later by software package. You can start lean and add capability as the programme grows; the packages install as licences, no hardware swap.
Choosing a model
- MS 6.1 EVO, port injection; 21 analog inputs, the entry point: engine functions and extra measurement unlock via packages
- MS 6.2 EVO: port injection; the Engine Function I-II and Measurement package content included as standard (38 analog inputs)
- MS 6.3 EVO, direct + port injection; 21 analog inputs base, Measurement and second-HP-pump packages optional
- MS 6.4 EVO: direct + port injection; Measurement (38 analog inputs) and second-HP-pump content included
- MS 6.4P EVO: same hardware, running its own torque-structure project software line (not compatible with MS 6.4 EVO software)
Logging upgrades, gear control, CCA and the Innovation licences are separate options on all models.
